Laguna Captren

At the north entrance to Conguillío National Park, via Curacautín, Captrén Lagoon surprises visitors with dozens of sunken trees under the water that are easy to see. It is also an ideal place for bird lovers: many species stop here during their migration, turning its wetlands into a bird sanctuary.

Its green, deep blue and transparent waters make this lagoon unique in Chile. It is not only the colors that stand out, but also the contrast between the volcanic remains around it and the lush, deep green forests. There is a belief that the lagoon can grant wishes, so it is no surprise to find coins at the bottom. It promises enchanting landscapes in every season of the year.

A fun and amazing trail circles the lagoon and connects with the Los Carpinteros trail, home of the Araucaria Madre.
