Escorial Lagoon is inside the Malalcahuello National Reserve, right beside the road to Lolco in the Araucanía Andina.
This beautiful lagoon formed when lava flows from Lonquimay Volcano dammed several streams and flooded a small forest, which over time was left underwater.
